On behalf of the organizing committee from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University. It is my great pleasure to advise you about and welcome you to the 2nd Current Drug Development 2012 (CDD2012) that will be held at the Phuket Graceland Resort & Spa during 2^nd – 4^th May 2012. The first Current Drug Development 2010 (CDD2010) was very successful as we had over two hundred national and international participants. The CDD2012 aims to provide many interesting perspectives on new drug developments and technology. The major topics will relate to four areas of pharmaceutical sciences: drug delivery systems, natural products, product quality control and pharmaceutical technology. We have established our themes to enable discussion on new developments in anticancer research. We are all well aware that there are many current initiatives throughout the world to fight and control cancer and we wish to highlight this area of research. We have invited three keynote speakers: Prof. Dr. Lee-Yong Lim from The University of Western Australia will speak on “Overcoming barriers in anticancer drug delivery through nanotechnology”,
Prof. Dr. Hideaki Otsuka from Hiroshima University will deliver his lecture on “Anticancer agents from natural products” and Prof. Dr. Yu-Zong Chen from the National University of Singapore will discuss advances in Multi-target Drug Discovery Technologies.
        We have prepared a scientific program with a series of invited speakers, together with oral and poster presentations. All key research workers and young scientists will have opportunities to share experiences with each other throughout the conference.
I invite you and will welcome all participants from around the globe to join this conference. CDD 2012 will bring together leading scientists in the stimulating environment of Phuket, Thailand.
